Louise Boudoux, Head of New Products at Masteos shares her story of how she got into the tech world.&nbsp;Can you introduce yourself and tell us more about the career path that led you to Masteos today?My first job was as an auditor at Ernst and Young. It's something very different from what I do now, but a good way to understand the business world. I had Google as a client, which sparked my passion for technology. They were launching many great (and not so great) products, and I totally identified with the “test and learn” and “customer-first” culture.&nbsp;I joined the digital world as an Analytics consultant, which was quite technical. I created tracking plans and dashboards for clients. I loved to slice the data to create insights. The Strategy team was regularly asking for my help to build prioritization and business models, and then offered me a job.&nbsp;It was the start of my product career, in 2016, where I started to create new products, new customer journeys, new digital roadmaps, and never stopped since!What does your job at Masteos involve? Can you explain it to us?I am the Head of New Products &nbsp;and manage a brilliant team of Strategic Product Managers.Our main goal is to bring long-term growth by expanding product market fit.&nbsp;We understand gaps and unmet needs in the property investor journey as well as in the proptech ecosystem, and identify where Masteos can bring the most value.This translates into the launch of new products: short-term rental, energy renovation, a B2B offer.&nbsp;In what areas do you think Masteos is a model for other companies?Masteos trusts its employees. It’s actually one of our values.On top of being a flexible workspace, we have the space to try new processes, new tools, new communication methods and take on projects that are not directly related to our scope, if they have proven value.&nbsp;In what areas do companies still need to improve to enable their employees to develop better?For all, especially top management, to celebrate mistakes and show their weaknesses.&nbsp;This is the only way for your employees to be comfortable enough to put themselves in uncomfortable situations, where they will learn the most. Because they know it’s ok to fail.&nbsp;I have a great book to recommend: Culture Code by Daniel Coyle, which explains the positive impact of vulnerability in the workplace.What should companies really focus on to make women feel comfortable at work?This is not only applicable to women, as I feel both men and women have the same deep human needs, but one of them is to be listened to.&nbsp;As managers, it is our role to create avenues for our direct reports to speak up and express freely. This is also how managers can understand what each of their direct reports specifically needs to feel more comfortable at work. It will be different for everyone!There is a saying that we have two ears and one mouth, and it is in this relationship that we should use them.&nbsp;What would you tell your younger self ten years ago?“Meditate and do yoga. They will help you to take a step back and look at things from a different perspective.”&nbsp;
