Position Summary

Platform.sh is seeking a Senior Accounting Controller to join our global Accounting team, overseeing crucial financial operations across subsidiaries and headquarters. Responsibilities include leading consolidation processes, driving strategic financial projects, coordinating audits for compliance, and utilizing data analytics tools for informed decision-making. This role reports to the Director, Finance. 

What you can expect:

  • Lead the consolidation process for seven subsidiaries, continuously refining month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures with precision.
  • Maintain impeccable data quality standards, ensuring accuracy and reliability in all financial records.
  • Manage VAT declaration, various tax obligations, and General Ledger responsibilities, including monthly Management reporting packages and meticulous financial records maintenance.
  • Drive monthly reporting, such as balance sheet and income statement variance analysis, providing critical insights for decision-making.
  • Prepare top-tier executive/board deliverables, including monthly board reporting and revenue committee presentations.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with HR and outsourcing firms for payroll management, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Lead external annual audits, ensuring smooth compliance and workflow.
  • Support project management initiatives, especially in IFRS implementation, contributing dynamically to team and organizational success.

What you bring:

  • Advanced knowledge of progressive accounting principles and practices including financial reporting, reconciliations, and auditing with a track record of implementing automation to continuously elevate process standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategic financial projects aligned with organizational goals.
  • Appreciation for data analytics and familiarity with Salesforce and NetSuite.
  • Thorough understanding of IFRS.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts effectively.
  • Extensive experience collaborating globally with cross-functional teams, particularly in partnership with Sales, Marketing, and Strategy.
  • Exceptional analytical and prioritization abilities, with keen attention to detail, thriving in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Proven experience working with public companies.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
