Taster, innovative scale up in the foodtech who is redefining quick-service food is looking for a Communication and Public Affairs Manager.
Founded in 2017, we are a food incubator redefining quick-service food for the 21st century. We partner with exceptional creators to curate and scale iconic food brands, designed to be delivered or collected in minutes in one of our stores. We empower a community of passionate local entrepreneurs through our next-gen franchise network, creating economic opportunities everywhere we operate.
The business has been growing over 100% YoY on average over the last 3 years. With a unique, highly scalable business model and enviable unit economics (well above industry standards), Taster has reached over โฌ100m in yearly GMV in January 2024.
Operating within the global online food delivery market that is expected to be worth $365 billion by 2030 and backed by Tier-1 investors, including Octopus Ventures, Local Globe, Heartcore Capital, Rakuten, and Battery Ventures, Taster is the biggest operator in Europe and is expanding across different countries.
๐คYour role
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for developing and implementing TASTER's public affairs in France, particularly in managing relationships with local stakeholders. Your main responsibilities will include:
Public Affairs
Anticipate and manage regulatory and political issues at the local and national levels
Anticipate, define strategies, and manage reputational risks related to the restaurant and delivery industry
Build and maintain relationships with local decision-makers (elected officials, communities, associations)
Build relationships with our franchise partners and train them on stakeholder engagement
Represent TASTER to external stakeholders
Develop influence strategies towards public officials to support the growth of TASTER and its brands
Corporate Communication
Develop and deploy TASTERโs corporate communication strategy in France
Craft the companyโs storytelling for media
Manage TASTER brand reputation and press relations
Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure message consistency

3 to 5 years of experience in public affairs, ideally with experience in or with local government
Excellent writing and oral communication skills
Strong understanding of local political and regulatory issues
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-growing environment
Fluency in both French and English
